Why is there no Limit to the Amount of Slave Women?

Why is there no Limit to the Amount of Slave Women?

Islam encouraged cohabitation with slaves as another avenue to liberation for them and their children. This may be particularly significant if it is realized that the slave’s offspring were often the children of wealthy owners who kept slaves for domestic purposes (i.e. for household help.) It is further suggested that, to enhance the cause of liberation, Islam did not limit the number of slaves with whom a master may cohabit because the greater the number – the closer to freedom they become. [see Um al Walad].

By placing no limit – it is increasingly beneficial to the slave women because instead of having to become Prostitutes for earning money or fulfilling their sexual needs, all slave women -effected by war- will have a household in which the male responsible over her will; provide for her, and fulfills all her needs for her (including; food, shelter, clothing, and also fulfill her emotional and intimate needs etc.)

    1. In Islam, marriage completes half your faith. And in a marriage contract, the Man provides for the family and the woman takes care of the house. Together, it creates the perfect balance!

And if a woman wants to work, there is nothing wrong. In Marriage, however, the husband needs to approve.

Also, prostitution is illegal under the Sharia and this topic is about slavery. If the master frees the slave, he/she may pursue what he/she desires.

Also, did you know that the Prophet's (PBUH) first wife (Khadija) was an independent business woman, until she got married?

      And God bless.

    2. a women needs her husband approval for working, however a women can work without husbands permission if she has gained this right by setting it(working and having professional life) as a condition of marriage.A man and woman can set conditions in the marriage contract and if both agree after getting married they have to obey the contract.Other conditions can also be made as long as it is not haram(forbidden).May Allah guide us all.
